Tom Meyers, CFA

Tom Meyers is responsible for Franklin Templeton's U.S. Institutional business. He oversees the team responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors and consulting firms.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Mr. Meyers worked at Aviva Investors, and was responsible for leading the Aviva Investors Americas client solutions efforts covering the institutional market and sub-advisor relationships. He also oversaw the Investment Specialist, Consultant Relations, Sales, Client Servicing and Marketing teams and was Executive Director for the North American Region. Mr. Meyers previously was Managing Senior Investment Director at Legal and General Investment Management America, where he successfully launched the institutional efforts in the US. During his 35-year career, he has also held senior distribution and investment positions at Virtus, Seix Investment Advisors, Conseco Capital Management, and Capital Group. His investment responsibilities have included roles in trading, credit research, director of research, and portfolio management.

Mr. Meyers graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University with a dual bachelor's degree in Organizational Behavior and Management (Honors) and Psychology. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
