James McGiveran is a vice president, portfolio manager and research analyst for Franklin Templeton Fixed Income. Mr. McGiveran is responsible for portfolio management of the Franklin High Income Fund and Franklin High Yield Fund. He specializes in the analysis of high yield and investment grade corporate bonds in the financials, and metals & mining industries. He previously covered analysis of aerospace, defense, airlines, restaurant, food & beverage, transportation and forest products.

Mr. McGiveran has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to his current role, Mr. McGiveran was an investment banking associate at Citigroup. He also was previously with Arthur Andersen LLP. Mr. McGiveran joined Franklin Templeton in 2006 as a research analyst.

Mr. McGiveran holds a bachelor of arts in accounting from Villanova University, and a MBA in finance and economics from Columbia University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Financial Risk Manager certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (FRM).
