Penelope Stack Alexander

Penny Alexander is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Franklin Templeton. She oversees Global Human Resources and is based at the company's headquarters in San Mateo, California. In her role as CHRO, she is responsible for driving talent strategies for the firm's 10,000 employees, across offices in over 30 countries. She provides direct consultancy to the CEO, CFO/COO and the Franklin Templeton Executive Committee. Penny is a member of the firm's Executive Committee, Global Operating Committee and Management Committee.

Penny joined Franklin Templeton as a shareholder services representative. After completing the company's Management Training Program, she held several supervisory and managerial positions in the service subsidiary, Franklin Templeton Investor Services, LLC, bringing her customer focus and strong business background to Human Resources.

A deep champion of the asset management industry, Penny is the past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the National Investment Company Service Association, headquartered in Boston, MA. She has been broadly recognized for her contributions to the industry, receiving the PricewaterhouseCoopers award. Penny was also recognized by The San Francisco Business Times as one of the “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business”.

Penny received her bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University, where she was the former Chair of the Board of Regents and serves as Regent Emeriti.
