Michael Chu

Michael Chu is vice president and executive director for Templeton Global Investments, with equity research responsibilities for companies in China and Hong Kong, focusing primarily on financial institutions.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2017, he spent seven years at HSBC Global Research in Hong Kong as a Director and Banks & Microfinance Analyst.

Mr. Chu holds a B.S. in Quantitative Finance with Honors from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He is a native speaker of Mandarin and Shanghainese, fluent in Cantonese and English, and also speaks Japanese.
