Julian Gomez

Julian Gomez is a Director within Private Markets at Franklin Templeton, supporting the distribution of private market capabilities across the global wealth channel in EMEA, Latin America, and U.S. offshore markets. With nearly 20 years of experience in investment distribution, he has worked across traditional and alternative asset classes, supporting private banks, family offices, and wealth managers in accessing institutional‑quality strategies.

Prior to his current role, Julian supported the distribution of Franklin Templeton’s hedge fund advisory platform, K2 Advisors, across EMEA (excluding the UK), Latin America, and U.S. offshore markets. Working within the global wealth segment, he focused on expanding access to hedge fund and liquid alternative strategies for private banks, family offices, and wealth managers, collaborating with clients across multiple jurisdictions on platform engagement and product positioning. Earlier in his career at Franklin Templeton, Julian held client‑facing distribution roles based in Miami, where he supported the U.S. offshore market as well as clients across the Caribbean and Bermuda. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Julian worked at BlackRock, initially in New York supporting international sales efforts across the Northeast U.S. and Latin America, and later in Miami as a portfolio specialist within the SMA Group. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in New York as part of the firm’s analyst program.

Originally from Colombia and raised in the United States, Julian is based in Madrid. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The College of New Jersey and brings a strong cross‑border perspective to his work across the global wealth landscape.
