Greg Johnson is Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Franklin Resources, Inc.

Having spent more than 35 years at Franklin Templeton, Mr. Johnson has held leadership roles in all major divisions of the business. In 2004, he was elected Co-CEO and served as the company's CEO beginning in 2005 until 2020 when he transitioned to Executive Chairman. Under his tenure as CEO, Franklin Templeton became one of the most globally recognized firms in the asset management industry.

Over the years, Mr. Johnson has been involved with several organizations associated with the investment management industry. He is a board member and past chairman of the Investment Company Institute's Board of Governors. Additionally, he is a board member of Zand, the UAE's first digital bank providing both personal and corporate banking services. His personal pursuits include serving on the board of the US Olympic and Paralympic Foundation and is a board member of Jumpstart, an early literacy and education organization, as well as the San Francisco Symphony, where he is a Life Governor.

Apart from his responsibilities with Franklin Templeton, Mr. Johnson is the Chairman of Board of Directors and Control Person of the San Francisco Giants and serves on Major League Baseball's Executive Council and Competition committees. Mr. Johnson earned a B.S. in accounting and business administration from Washington and Lee University in 1983, and his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate in 1985.
