Daniel F. McGovern, CFA

Dan McGovern is a senior vice president of Franklin Templeton Distributors, Inc. and is Director of National Accounts within the Retail National Accounts. In this role he leads a team of account managers responsible for strategic business development and product placement efforts with the firm's national, regional broker-dealer and bank relationships. Mr. McGovern's responsibilities include managing home office relationships with some of the firms largest retail clients.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton Investments in 2014, Mr. McGovern was Director in BlackRock's US Wealth Advisory Division focused on advisory platform development. In this role Mr. McGovern was charged with driving new research list recommendations and discretionary model allocations on top tier broker-dealer platforms. During his career, Mr. McGovern has also held various sales and product roles at Morgan Stanley/Van Kampen, Fidelity Investments and Eaton Vance Corp.

Mr. McGovern holds a B.A. in economics from the College of the Holy Cross and an M.B.A from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts
