London, 05 June 2020 – Franklin Templeton1 is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Heaney as Head of UK Institutional effective June 1st . Reporting to Martyn Gilbey, UK Country Head, London-based Heaney will be responsible for developing the strategy for Franklin Templeton’s institutional clients in the UK.
In his new role, he will also oversee relationships with field consultants and drive sales and marketing activities whilst working closely with the Global Consultant Relations team.
With 18 years of industry experience, Heaney joins from Invesco where he was Head of Government and Strategic Institutions responsible for sales to large asset owners in the UK and Ireland, with a focus on Corporate DB/DC and Local Government pension schemes. Prior to this, he was Institutional Sales Director UK at Pioneer Investments (now Amundi) and previously held roles at Royal London Asset Management, Daiwa SB Investments Ltd and Fidelity International Ltd.
