Jacob Armstrong is senior vice president and head of the Insurance & Subadvisory Business at Franklin Templeton. He is responsible for the business strategy, product development, marketing, sales and relationship management teams.

The Insurance & Subadvisory Business manages strategic partnerships with insurance and asset management companies in the United States providing a wide range of investment capabilities and vehicles including: separate accounts, mutual funds, variable insurance trusts, models and insurance indices. Franklin Templeton's Insurance & Subadvisory Business also brings dedicated home office research coverage, field advisor consultants and marketing managers to deliver results for clients.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Mr. Armstrong worked at JP Morgan for 10 years serving in a number of senior positions within insurance and subadvisory asset management. He also was responsible for the insurance business at Ivy Investments Institutional prior to rejoining Franklin Templeton in 2016. He began his career at Franklin Templeton in 2000 working in the Management Training Program with the Strategic Alliances Group which is now the Insurance & Subadvisory Business.

Mr. Armstrong is a Board Member of the Insured Retirement Institute which is the leading financial services trade association for the retirement income industry. He is also a Board Member delegate for the Alliance for Lifetime Income, a group of 24 of the leading financial services organizations in the U.S committed to bringing awareness and educating Americans about the benefits of protected retirement income. Mr. Armstrong holds an MBA in economics and finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor degree in finance from California State University.
